OUR STORY

In 2017 Dutchess was launched with the goal of answering these questions and providing menstrual cups that were equal parts affordable, comfortable, and easy to use. Intimidated by the higher prices of competitor products, we took on the additional challenge of making sure that didn’t mean budging on quality.

All Dutchess period cups are flexibly soft, leak-proof, and registered with the FDA. Made with medical-grade silicone and free from Phthalates, Dioxin, Latex, and BPA, they’re a great alternative to disposable products. Unlike tampons, period cups maintain your unique pH without drying you out or shedding fibers, which can increase the risk of infection and TSS. And because they’re reusable, they let you maintain high levels of hygiene without filling up landfills.

How do i use a menstrual cup?

1. Tightly fold the menstrual cup in half creating a "C" fold.

2. Insert the cup, rim up, into your vagina like you would a tampon.

3. Once the cup is just below your cervix, rotate it. It will spring open to create an airtight seal that stops leaks. You shouldn’t feel your menstrual cup if you’ve inserted the cup correctly.

4. To remove, grip the stem and slowly pull downwards. Softly squeeze the base to release the seal. Remove the cup.

5. Empty fluid into the toilet and wash the cup with soap and water.
